Here is the finished edit of Mandy’s risotto, as edited by our film club members.
As from next week the project will be really taking off – so as many people as possible are wanted for the session at 7pm next Wednesday 4th August
See you there!
Yesterday two members of the group, Arran and Fingal, went with Mandy and Charlotte to a lovely lady’s house to be taught how to sew buttons onto clothing.
We have got some brilliant footage, only interrupted by a naughty cat, and hope to have it edited into the final film. There’s lots of great close ups of threading a needle, which has given us some ideas for our final event/showdown/wrap party – who can thread a needle quickest?!
And we have heard from a young group of pizza-makers, with an oven deep in the Dorset woods! We think they may be due a visit from our resident pizza baking virgin, Ivon…looking forward to that one, yet more tasty treats for the Chocolate Media group – we never turn down the offer of food!

There is now a rough edit of Mandy’s Cookery Show which will be uploaded soon!

At last weeks session we set up our first ‘skills exchange’ in which Mandy taught some of our members how to cook a risotto from scratch using fresh ingredients. Everybody took turns to use the filming equipment and to learn how to cook. At the end of the two hours we had two tasty risotto’s and 3 new cooks in our group.
At this weeks meeting we will be editing the footage we captured into a short film as a taster of what is to come later in the project.
